Job description
We are seeking a Locums OB/GYN Physician to provide clinic and procedural coverage in Alpena, Michigan. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday clinic schedule, a manageable patient volume, and support from an experienced clinical team.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM–12:00 PM
- Clinic Volume: Approximately 2 patients per hour, depending on appointment length
Clinical Support
- Three nurses scheduled per shift
- A midwife will be available beginning in September to assist with call coverage
Procedures & Responsibilities
The physician will provide comprehensive OB/GYN care and perform procedures including:
- Suction D&C
- Laparoscopy
- Reading and interpreting NSTs
- Cesarean sections
- Circumcisions
- Tubal ligations
Additional Details
- EMR/Dictation: Epic and Dragon
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible, with certification required within 5 years
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Recent case logs demonstrating:
- At least 50 deliveries within the past 12 months
- At least 25 GYN procedures within the past 12 months
- Michigan license preferred
- Candidates participating in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) will be considered
