**OBGYN Nocturnist Opportunity in Lewiston, ME**
- Full-time nocturnist position with mostly night coverage and some weekend daytime shifts
- 12-hour shifts with flexible and block scheduling options available
- Approximately 11 shifts per month
- Inpatient-focused role with no outpatient clinic responsibilities
- Opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses, residents, medical students, anesthesia, pediatrics, and support staff
- Approximately 900 deliveries annually
- Level II NICU with in-house pediatrics and anesthesia support

**Responsibilities**
- Provide in-house overnight obstetric coverage
- Manage labor and delivery triage, admissions, and emergencies
- Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Respond to urgent OB emergencies including fetal distress and emergent interventions
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
- Ensure timely documentation and adherence to quality and safety protocols
**Requirements**
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Eligible for Maine medical licensure
- Strong labor & delivery and obstetric emergency experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Additional language skills in Lingala, French, Portuguese, or Somali are a plus
