Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN to provide full-scope coverage. This is an ideal position for a physician who enjoys a mix of clinic and hospital work within a supportive, low-volume setting.

The Opportunity

Join a community-focused medical center that manages approximately 400–500 deliveries annually. This role provides full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.

• Clinical Scope: Full-scope OB/GYN services. The facility features a 10-bed LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) Unit and a 2-bed newborn nursery.

• Case Load: Clinic volume is typically 15–18 patients per day. While call is required, call-backs are historically rare, allowing for a more predictable schedule.

• Schedule: Flexible clinic hours (typically 08:30 – 16:00), weekdays only.

• Commitment: Full-time coverage is needed. The facility is prioritizing providers who can cover at least 14 consecutive shifts per month.

• Technology: Documentation is streamlined through EPIC (EMR).

• Logistics: You will not be responsible for supervising other healthcare providers.

Compensation & Travel

• Travel Reimbursement: Full coverage for airfare (up to $750), lodging (up to $179/night), and rental car ($50/day cap). Mileage for personal vehicles is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.

• Rates: Competitive hourly and call rates provided upon inquiry (includes malpractice coverage).

• Preferred Lodging: Stay at the Candlewood Suites Boise – Towne Square for convenient access to regional hubs.

Candidate Requirements

To ensure a smooth transition and maintain high standards of care, candidates must meet the following:

• Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in OB/GYN.

• Licensure: Active Oregon State Medical License, Active IMLC, or licensing candidates are accepted. Active DEA and CSR are required.

• Certifications: Active BLS is required.

• Health & Safety: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for this facility.

• Availability: Must be able to cover at least 14 consecutive shifts per month.

• Background: A completely clean malpractice and background history is required.

• Documentation: A current Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days) is required at the time of presentation.

• Readiness: Must have CV (MM/YYYY format), case logs, and immunization records (TB, Flu, HepB, Tdap, Varicella) readily available to expedite the process.
