🏥 Job Overview
Locum Tenens OB/GYN opportunity in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves outpatient clinic coverage with support from a full clinical and administrative team, managing a steady patient volume and minor in-office procedures.
📅 Schedule & Duration
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule:
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Typically Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- 2–3 day stretches
- ~2 weeks per month coverage
- Call: PRN (as needed)
- Orientation: Non-billable hours included
Job Responsibilities
Well-woman exams and preventive care
Management of general gynecology cases
Minor in-office procedures:
Pap smears
Colposcopies
Endometrial biopsies
Pessary management
Coordination with nursing and administrative support staff
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania medical license
BLS certification required
DEA registration (Pennsylvania) required
Vaccination compliance or approved exemption
Working Hours
Typically Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
2–3 day stretches per week
~2 weeks of coverage per month
PRN call only (as needed)
Skills
Preventive and well-woman exams
Minor in-office procedures (Pap, colposcopy, EMB, pessary care)
Strong patient management (ages 14–90)
Epic EMR proficiency
