Join a busy, collaborative inpatient OB/GYN team as a Laborist providing 24-hour in-house coverage in a high-volume, supportive environment. Work alongside midwives, specialists, and a multidisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional maternal care while benefiting from a dedicated hospital-based role with no separate call responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage OB/GYN triage and respond to ER calls as needed
• Perform deliveries and support approximately 80 births per month
• Conduct daily rounds on post-partum and post-operative patients
• Collaborate with midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and care teams
• Serve as a referral resource for gynecologic patients
• Support patient safety initiatives and hospital protocols
Qualifications
• Iowa medical license or willingness to obtain (Required)
• Clean malpractice history preferred
• Strong inpatient OB/GYN experience required
• Must meet credentialing requirements
• Not accepting Locums candidates
