An excellent locum opportunity for a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician is available in Potsdam, New York. This role offers 24-hour call coverage in a supportive hospital environment with a collaborative clinical team and diverse obstetric and gynecologic cases.

Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (Locum)

📅 Assignment Details

• Start Date: April 6, 2026

• Assignment Length: Approximately 8 weeks of coverage

• Emergency privileges available

• Multiple scheduled coverage blocks

⏰ Schedule

• 24-hour call shifts

• Shift times: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 PM

• Provider will serve as 1st call

Coverage blocks may include multiple consecutive days depending on availability.

🏥 Practice Setting

• Acute Care Hospital

• 94-bed facility

• Supportive clinical team including:

  • Registered Nurses (RNs)

  • Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

  • Clerical staff

  • Anesthesiologist available on call at all times

📊 Patient Volume

• Approximately 15–20 patients per day

• Average daily census 0–10 patients

🩺 Procedures

Providers should be comfortable performing a wide range of OB/GYN procedures, including:

• Spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD)

• Operative vaginal delivery (forceps or vacuum)

• Vaginal delivery repairs

• Cesarean sections

• Infant male circumcisions

• D&C / D&E procedures

• Laparoscopic, robotic, and abdominal gynecologic surgeries

💻 Technology

• EMR: Epic

• Automated medication system: Pyxis

📋 Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Active New York medical license required

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience

• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

• Epic experience required
