An acute care hospital in Potsdam, New York is seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN Physician for locum coverage providing inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services.
The physician will provide 24-hour call coverage managing labor and delivery patients, performing obstetric procedures, and providing surgical gynecologic care when needed. This role includes comprehensive obstetric services including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency obstetric care.
The provider will work alongside experienced nursing staff and have anesthesiology support available at all times.

• Manage labor and delivery patients including high-risk cases
• Perform spontaneous vaginal deliveries and operative vaginal deliveries
• Conduct cesarean sections and obstetric surgical procedures
• Perform gynecologic procedures including D&C and laparoscopic surgeries
• Provide postpartum care and newborn assessments when needed
• Coordinate with anesthesiology and nursing staff for patient care
• Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active New York Medical License required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OB/GYN experience
• ACLS Certification required
• BLS Certification required
• NRP Certification required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
Working Hours
Shifts:
7:00 PM – 7:00 PM
or
7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks
Call Coverage: First Call
Orientation: 16 Hours
