  • Other Details: We are seeking a Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage with flexible scheduling, averaging approximately four 24-hour shifts per month. The role involves overseeing the labor and delivery unit, triaging patients, performing vaginal and cesarean deliveries, managing high- and low-risk obstetric cases, handling emergencies, and providing urgent gynecologic consultations and surgeries. The hospitalist will collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other care team members, supervise APPs, support complex surgical cases as needed, and participate in teaching and mentoring of residents and medical students. Responsibilities also include coordinating patient care across imaging, lab, and pharmacy services, and offering a full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic services, including routine exams, prenatal and postnatal care, contraception counseling, endometriosis and infertility management, menopausal care, in-office procedures, pelvic prolapse repairs, permanent sterilization, ultrasound imaging, and urinary incontinence treatment.

Job Responsibilities

* Oversee labor and delivery unit, triage patients, and perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries
* Manage high- and low-risk obstetric cases, emergencies, and urgent gynecologic consultations/surgeries
* Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers and nursing staff
* Assist peers with complex surgical cases as needed
* Participate in teaching and mentoring of residents and medical students
* Coordinate patient care across imaging, lab, and pharmacy services
* Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services, including routine exams, prenatal/postnatal care, contraception counseling, endometriosis and infertility management, menopausal care, in-office procedures, pelvic prolapse repairs, permanent sterilization, ultrasound imaging, and urinary incontinence treatment

Qualifications

* Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN
* Experience in inpatient obstetric care and hospitalist settings
* Ability to manage high- and low-risk obstetric emergencies
* Experience supervising advanced practice providers and teaching residents
* Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

Working Hours

* Start ASAP
* Approximately 4 shifts per month on average
* 24-hour in-house shifts, with flexibility for 24–96 hour scheduling
* Coverage needed for specific dates across March through June
