  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,310–$7,480 per week

Who We're Seeking / Job Requirements

  • Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA (with NC address required)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Ob/Gyn)
  • Currently enrolled with PECOS as a provider and NC Medicaid credentialed
  • Fully vaccinated per hospital policy
  • Actively delivering babies — must submit case logs for the past 24 months
  • No recent or open malpractice cases
  • Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital while on call (per hospital bylaws)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology required
  • Laser certification required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies as a locum tenens Ob/Gyn physician
  • Manage labor and delivery, perform emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries, and participate in VBACs when indicated
  • Round on postpartum and antepartum patients and provide comprehensive inpatient Ob/Gyn care
  • Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I screening; Level II targeted preferred)
  • Manage routine and complicated deliveries including breech, multiple births, and abruptions
  • Repair 3rd- and 4th-degree perineal lacerations
  • Perform office and minor gynecologic procedures (IUD placement/removal, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, cystoscopy)
  • Perform surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic procedures such as tubal ligation, oophorectomy, cystectomy)
  • Coordinate high-risk newborn transfers to regional NICU facilities when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with hospitalist, anesthesia, and radiology teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
