Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
A Federally Qualified Health Center in the Southwest Chicago communities is seeking a mission-driven OB/GYN Physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare and improving community health outcomes. The physician will provide comprehensive women's health services including prenatal, obstetric, well-woman, and gynecological care in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. The role emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide women's health ambulatory care including patient history review, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.

  • Deliver prenatal, obstetric, and gynecological care using primary care principles.

  • Maintain productivity standards averaging approximately 2.6-2.7 patient visits per hour.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and accurate clinical documentation.

  • Diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments and referrals in accordance with medical practice guidelines.

  • Implement and document age-specific preventive health schedules for patients.

  • Manage follow-up appointments, referrals, and continuity of care for OB/GYN patients.

  • Provide inpatient OB/GYN care at assigned partner hospitals and maintain hospital privileges.

  • Participate in call schedules and take call for patients as assigned by the Medical Director.

  • Contribute to program planning and community health activities when required.

  • Maintain clinical competency through continuing medical education (CME).

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.

  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Spanish language skills preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain professional integrity and confidentiality.
