OB/GYN Chair Opening – Rochester, New York
Location: Rochester, NY
Type: Full-Time, Leadership Role
Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology
Seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology physician to serve as Chair of Women’s Health in Rochester, New York. This leadership opportunity combines clinical practice with strategic oversight to advance comprehensive women’s health services across the region.
Position Highlights:
Provide leadership for full-scope Women’s Health services
Collaborate with the Service Line Division Head and System Executive Medical Director for Women’s Health
Lead physicians and advanced practice providers across the region
Approximately 40% clinical practice to maintain active patient care
Guide integration of inpatient, ambulatory, and specialty services including:
- Urogynecology
- Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Reproductive Health
Strengthen residency, fellowship, and academic partnerships
Promote mentorship, physician development, and educational initiatives
Foster a culture of collaboration, professional excellence, and psychological safety
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced physician leader with strong clinical and administrative background
Current or prior Chair, Division Chief, or Section Head experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership within complex health systems or academic environments
Strong communicator with a collaborative leadership style
Qualifications:
MD or DO
Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Eligible for New York medical licensure
Leadership experience required
Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) or equivalent leadership training preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $400,000 – $500,000 annually
