UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital/Medical Center is looking for an OB/GYN to fill their need
Details:
- Practice Type: OB/GYN
- Case Load: Low Risk Pregnancy - 70%; High Risk Pregnancy - 30%; C-Section - 21%
- Average Number of patients per physician per day: Hospital - 4-5
- Average Number of deliveries per physician per week: 3-4
- Average Number of OB/GYN surgeries per week: Hospital - 1-4 emergent
- Number of OB/GYNs in the group: 7; 4 Mid-levels
- Locum Tenens required to supervise other healthcare providers: No
- Other OB/GYNs are present during locum tenens coverage: Yes
- Lab & Ultrasound Onsite: Yes, performed by Tech
- Documentation system: Epic (clinic & hospital)
- Nursery services: Level II (Ability to transfer to higher level NICU)
- Consultative services not represented: Coverage need is for deliveries and any urgent needs that come
- Referral/Transfer protocol: Referral center is surrounding OB/GYN roups. Transfers arranged through Docline, typically to Anschutz Medical Plaza which is 30 miles away.
- Locum tenens be involved in covering/supervising teaching services: No
Job Responsibilities
Low risk pregnancy – Pt’s with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis,etc.
High risk pregnancy – Pt.’s with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.
FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
Required Procedures - Labor & Delivery:
Routine delivery –Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
Complicated delivery –C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.
VBAC’s
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Required Procedures - Gynecology:
Surgical gynecology – open laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only –tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation
Surgical gynecology – open operative/major (includes diagnostic) – ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s
Preferred Procedures (Obstetrics):
OB ultrasounds - Interpretation, Level I/screening (viability)
