Locum Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine in Mechanicsville, VA

We are currently seeking a Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to support our practice during a recruitment period. This role involves both office and inpatient coverage, ensuring a comprehensive approach to maternal and fetal health for our patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care for high-risk pregnancies, handling an average of 27 scheduled patients per day.
• Collaborate with a team of one other physician, a nurse practitioner, and additional support staff.
• Perform required procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage.
• Utilize the EPIC documentation system for patient records.
• Maintain on-call availability during weekdays and weekends.
• Support patients with various maternal-fetal complications such as growth restriction and pre-term labor.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Completion of Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Active Virginia medical license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AIUM Certification (preferred).
• Ability to provide a Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days at the time of presentation.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Virginia State Medical License (required).
• Board certification or eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• AIUM Certification (preferred).
