Job description
A respected community-based hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont is seeking a full-time OB/GYN Physician to join its established hospital-owned practice. This opportunity offers full-spectrum women’s health care in a collaborative, physician-respected environment with flexible scheduling and excellent quality of life.
The practice is stable with very low staff turnover and emphasizes evidence-based care in a state with constitutional protection of reproductive rights.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage gynecologic consults from PCPs and in-house midwives
• Perform office-based gynecologic procedures
• Maintain steady surgical volume with access to new operating rooms
• Participate in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgeries
• See approximately 12–14 patients per clinic day
• Provide physician backup for midwife-led obstetric care
• Participate in shared home call (1:4 rotation)
• Support birth center services including VBACs, water birth, nitrous oxide, and 24-hour epidural coverage
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency (U.S. or Canada)
• Clean malpractice history
• Active Vermont license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Not open to visa candidates
• Not accepting locum or locum-to-perm candidates
• Must reside within 1 hour of practice location
Working Hours
• Approximately 3 dedicated OR days per month
• Shared home call (1:4 rotation)
