Lead Obstetrician/Gynecologist (Lead OB/GYN) - Part-time
Department/Unit: Gynecology
Reports To: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
Status: Part-Time (21 hours per week) with on-call responsibilities
Location: Multi-site / Outpatient Clinic
Start Timeline: April 2026
Position Summary:
The Lead Obstetrician/Gynecologist provides clinical leadership and comprehensive women's health services, including obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive care. This role combines direct patient care with leadership oversight to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, culturally responsive care across all clinic sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Oversight

Provide clinical leadership for OB/GYN services across all outpatient sites

Establish and monitor clinical protocols and best practices

Mentor, supervise, and support OB/GYN providers and clinical staff

Lead peer review, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives
Direct Patient Care

Provide prenatal, postpartum, gynecologic, and family planning services

Perform routine and high-risk OB/GYN procedures as needed

Expected patient volume: 16-18 patients per day

Participate in on-call coverage and occasional weekend needs
Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements

Support documentation standards, chart reviews, and accreditation readiness

Participate in risk management and patient safety initiatives
Program Development & Operations

Collaborate with leadership to improve access, patient flow, and service delivery

Support recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of OB/GYN staff

Contribute to strategic planning and service expansion

Required Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Active, unrestricted medical license (NY State)

DEA registration
-
Minimum 5 years of clinical OB/GYN experience with leadership background

Hospital privileges or ability to obtain them
Work Environment
Outpatient clinic setting with some evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities. Travel between sites may be required.
