- Other details: The facility is looking for a provider to cover beeper call only. Providers are needed for 24-hour call shifts from Monday, March 23rd at 8 AM to Friday, March 27th at 8 AM, Monday, May 4th at 8 AM to Friday, May 8th at 8 AM, and Friday, May 15th at 8 AM to Monday, May 18th at 8 AM. Providers must be currently enrolled with PECOS and have an active state license, DEA, and NC Medicaid credential. They should be board-certified or board-eligible, fully vaccinated, and actively delivering babies. Case logs from the last 12 months, showing hospital-based cases, are required in the submission. No recent or open malpractice cases, and no disciplinary actions should be present. Providers will be required to round on patients, be on call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries, and handle any emergent GYN procedures. High-risk deliveries will be transferred to nearby facilities with NICU support. Support staff for hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology are available 24/7. Average deliveries are 27 per month, with 11 C-sections, and 3 labor rooms, and the census is typically 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour period. Providers will need to answer the hospital's call on their cell phone.

Job Responsibilities
* Round on patients and monitor labor and delivery progress.
* Handle high-risk deliveries, with transfers to nearby facilities for NICU care as necessary.
* Ensure continuity of care for patients during the shift.
* Work with hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology support staff, available 24/7.
* Maintain communication with the hospital via cell phone for urgent needs.
* Provide emergency care as needed in the absence of a NICU.
Qualifications
* Current NC DEA registration.
* NC Medicaid credentialing and Medicare/PECOS enrollment.
* Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN.
* Fully vaccinated.
* Actively delivering babies (must provide case logs from the past 24 months).
* No recent or open malpractice cases.
* No disciplinary actions on record.
* Must be within 20 minutes of the facility, as per hospital bylaws.
* Case logs from the last 12 months (hospital-based cases) required.
