We are seeking a highly qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology provider to support our facility during critical upcoming dates. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment with comprehensive support while delivering essential services to patients in need.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA registration
  • NC Medicaid and Medicare/PECOS enrollment
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB/GYN
  • Current and fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Experience delivering babies with recent case logs from the past 24 months
  • No recent or open malpractice cases
  • Strong proficiency in emergent C-section and vaginal delivery care
  • Ability to work within hospital policies and emergency procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in high-risk pregnancy management
  • Prior coverage of hospitalist or emergency OB procedures
  • Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records and case documentation
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate care with hospital support staff

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of OB/GYN residency program
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology
  • Prior hospitalist or inpatient OB experience preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Must be actively delivering babies and providing emergent GYN procedures
  • Must be within 20 minutes of hospital for compliance with bylaws
  • Willing to round on patients, handle on-call duties for emergent deliveries, and assist with emergent surgeries
  • Availability during specific coverage dates, including March 23-27, May 4-8, and May 15-18, 2026
  • Provider must be enrolled with PECOS as a provider
  • Travel costs capped at $500; all-inclusive rates or inclusion of gratis hours preferred
  • Be prepared to submit detailed case logs, malpractice and disciplinary history, and travel preferences

About the Role:

This position involves rounding on patients, on-call duties for emergent cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries, and addressing urgent gynecological procedures. The facility supports high-risk deliveries, which are transferred to regional NICU facilities as needed, ensuring comprehensive care for all patients. Housing will be provided in hospital apartments located adjacent to the hospital, with proximity requirements per bylaws.
