Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care in both office and hospital settings.
  • Manage a patient panel of approximately 25-30 patients daily.
  • Conduct low-risk pregnancy management, including fetal assessments, ultrasounds, and labor/delivery procedures.
  • Perform gynecologic procedures such as IUD insertions, cystoscopies, colposcopies, and minor surgeries.
  • Participate in call coverage (1 in 4) and collaborate with a team of 4 physicians, 5 midwives, and support staff.
  • Use electronic medical records (Epic EMR) to document patient encounters efficiently.

Required Skills:
  • MD or DO certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Virginia.
  • Proven experience with obstetrics procedures, fetal monitoring, ultrasounds, and gynecologic interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with high-risk obstetrics and complex surgical procedures.
  • Prior experience working in hospital and outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with Level IIID NICU protocols and obstetric emergencies.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physicians.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in OB/GYN.
  • Prior locum or coverage experience is advantageous.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to start coverage from May 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care during assigned shifts.
  • Authorization for onsite ultrasounds, fetal monitoring, and other OB/GYN procedures.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary; credentialing estimated to take approximately 120 days.

Compensation:
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $19.50
