We are seeking an experienced Locum Tenens OB/GYN physician to join a collaborative team at a well-established hospital in Richmond, VA. This role entails both outpatient office work and hospital care for OB/GYN patients, with an emphasis on low-risk pregnancies. You will work alongside a team of skilled physicians and midwives, providing high-quality patient care. The assignment begins May 1, 2026, and continues through August 31, 2026.

Key Details - Assignment Type: Locum Tenens - Setting: Hospital and Outpatient Office - Start Date: May 1, 2026 - Schedule: Varied; office hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; includes 24-hour call - Patient Population: Adult - Location: Richmond, VA - Stipends: Lodging and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities - Manage a diverse range of OB/GYN cases focusing on low-risk pregnancies - Perform gynecological surgeries as needed - Provide comprehensive care for obstetrics including routine deliveries, C-sections, and managing complications - Conduct ultrasounds and various gynecological procedures

Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN - Active Virginia medical license (or willingness to obtain) - Must be local; only mileage is reimbursed - BLS/ACLS certified - Self-query NPDB report required

Working Hours - Office schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM - Call schedule: 24-hour on-call, included within regular weekday office time

Skills - Expertise in low to high-risk pregnancy management - Proficient in OB ultrasounds and various gynecological procedures - Strong decision-making skills for labor and delivery, including VBACs and complex cases - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
