Locum - OB/GYN: Obstetrics and Gynecology - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Richmond, VA

This facility offers a supportive environment with a blend of office and hospital duties for experienced Locum OB/GYN Physicians (MD/DO) while covering for a physician on medical leave. The practice is known for its focus on both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, as well as gynecological procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform routine deliveries, including vaginal births and C-sections.
• Conduct prenatal care and low-risk pregnancy management.
• Interpret and perform obstetric ultrasounds.
• Carry out necessary gynecological procedures, including IUD placements and laparoscopic surgeries.
• Collaborate with a team of midwives and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in call rotations, including weekend coverage.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
• Experience in managing low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
• Proficiency in OB procedures, including deliveries and gynecological surgeries.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation.
