Job description This is a strong long-term OB/GYN locums opportunity in Russellville, Arkansas, offering a great balance of clinic coverage plus overnight and weekend call. The site averages approximately 60 births per month and provides strong onsite support including lab and ultrasound services. This is an ideal assignment for an OB/GYN seeking consistent ongoing coverage in a welcoming community with easy access to outdoor recreation, lakes, and the natural beauty Arkansas is known for.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN coverage in both clinic and hospital setting
• Provide scheduled clinic coverage 4 days per week
• Provide overnight and weekend call coverage
• Manage admissions and rounding for inpatient OB patients
• Perform deliveries including routine and complicated cases
• Perform emergent and scheduled C-sections
• Provide GYN procedural and surgical coverage as needed
• Support patient care coordination with practice staff and nursing team

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified accepted
• Active Arkansas license required OR IMLC accepted
• BLS required
• PALS required
• Fetal Monitoring certification required
• IMLC providers must have Quality Letter in hand
• Background checks required for awarded providers

Working Hours

• Start Date: January 1, 2026
• Duration: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
• Clinic Schedule: 4 days per week 8:00a–4:00p (1-hour lunch)
• Weekend Call Coverage: Friday 8:00a – Monday 8:00a
• Call Ratio: 1:4
• Call Type: Beeper
• Call Response Time: Must be in facility within 20 minutes

Skills

• Strong full-scope OB delivery experience
• Confident surgical OB skills including C-sections
• Ability to manage urgent OB emergencies independently
• Strong fetal heart monitoring interpretation skills
• Comfortable with high-risk and low-risk pregnancy management
• Efficient inpatient rounding and admissions management
• Strong communication and team-based care approach
