  • Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified, trauma level 3, and PEDs level 1 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 15 patients per shift and 9 beds in the department. The OB/GYN provider will be responsible for 8:00 am – 4:30 pm clinic coverage Monday through Thursday, seeing around 15 patients per day with a mix of OB and GYN cases. The clinic will be supported by an NP for managing GYN and low-acuity OB cases, and the provider will perform in-office procedures such as colposcopy, LEEP, hysteroscopy, and IUD/Nexplanon insertion. The clinic uses Athena for its EHR, and there will be onsite clinical informatics support during orientation. The provider will also have 24-hour hospital call Monday through Thursday, with a 30-minute response time for beeper calls, handling an average of 1-2 deliveries per day, as well as scheduled and emergent C-sections and GYN surgeries. The hospital offers dedicated OR block time, Medhost for its EHR, and full support teams, including pediatric hospitalist, anesthesia, radiology, nursing, and OR staff. Scheduling flexibility allows the provider to take weekday clinic and call only, expand to include weekend call, or opt for a full 24/7 schedule.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide clinic coverage from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with a mix of OB and GYN cases.
* Perform in-office procedures such as colposcopy, LEEP, hysteroscopy, and IUD/Nexplanon insertion.
* Manage 15 patients per day, supported by an NP for GYN and low-acuity OB cases.
* Provide 24-hour hospital coverage Monday through Thursday, with beeper call and a 30-minute response time.
* Handle an average of 1-2 deliveries per day and perform scheduled and emergent C-sections and GYN surgeries.
* Utilize hospital EHR (Medhost) and clinic EHR (Athena) for documentation.
* Work with full nursing, anesthesia, radiology, and pediatric support teams.

Qualifications

* Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN.
* Experience with OB and GYN procedures, including colposcopy, LEEP, hysteroscopy, and IUD/Nexplanon insertion.
* Ability to manage both outpatient and inpatient OB/GYN care.
* Proficiency with EHR systems, particularly Athena and Medhost.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff and patients.

Working Hours

* Clinic coverage: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
* 24-hour hospital call: Monday through Thursday, with a 30-minute response time.
* Flexibility for weekday clinic and call only, weekend call, or a full 24/7 schedule.
