This is an excellent opportunity for an OB/GYN seeking ongoing coverage in Henderson, North Carolina, with the facility actively building a long-term provider pool for consistent scheduling. This role offers a strong mix of clinical support and call needs, with a preferred 7 on 7 off model. Enjoy small-town charm with easy access to Raleigh and surrounding metro areas while maintaining a stable long-term locums schedule.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage admissions and assigned patient rounding
• Provide coverage for unassigned OB call needs
• Perform deliveries including routine and complicated deliveries
• Perform C-sections and OB decision-making
• Provide minor and operative GYN procedures as needed
Qualifications
• Active North Carolina license required (NC only)
• ACLS required
• BLS required
• PALS required
• NRP certification required
• Must be able to obtain hospital privileges
Working Hours
• Duration: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
• Call Type: Beeper Call
• Call Response Time: 25 minutes
• Patient Volume: Approx. 10 per shift
• Preferred Scheduling Model: 7 on 7 off
Skills
• Comfortable with high-risk OB and deliveries
• Confident surgical OB skills including C-sections
• Strong team communication and patient-centered mindset
• Ability to provide stable long-term coverage blocks
