Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician
Join our dedicated team as an Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) physician and make a vital difference in patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services, including high-risk deliveries, emergent C-sections, and GYN procedures, in a community-focused environment committed to excellence. Required Skills:
- Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA registration (with NC address)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- NC Medicaid, Medicare/PECOS enrollment
- Recent case logs (past 24 months) demonstrating delivery and GYN procedures
- Ability to round on patients and respond to emergent situations
- Fully vaccinated against communicable diseases
- No recent or open malpractice cases or disciplinary actions
- Actively delivering babies and available for emergent C-sections and GYN procedures
- Must possess NPI number
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies
- Familiarity with hospitalist support systems and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Additional certifications in obstetric emergency management
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology within a hospital setting
- Proven ability to manage high patient volumes and complex cases
Other Requirements:
- Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital, per bylaws
- Must be enrolled with PECOS and able to provide detailed case logs
- Travel expenses limited to $500 total for mileage, rental car, airfare, etc., with an all-inclusive rate or equivalent hours included
- Availability for coverage starting on March 23, 2026, with scheduled shifts as outlined
- Hospital support includes 24/7 on-call anesthesiology and radiology, Level I nursery, and hospitalist services
