Coverage Needed
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- End Date: Ongoing
- Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts available
Clinical Details
- Maternal Level IV
- NICU Level IV
- High patient volumes with two physicians on service
- Coverage includes OBED and unassigned patients
- Coordinate transport of acute or critically ill obstetric patients
- Provide surgical assist services to OB/GYN physicians & First Assist on cesarean sections as needed
- Coverage of obstetrical triage unit for evaluation of patients with acute symptoms or signs of labor
- Evaluate and manage unassigned obstetrical and gynecology patients
- Deliver patients when assigned community obstetricians/physicians are unavailable
- Assist with complicated deliveries
- Provide consultative support throughout the Hospital
- Surgical management of unassigned gynecology patients
- Conduct H&P exams on all unassigned patients admitted
- Participate in cases requiring activation of massive transfusion protocol
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of OB experience required
- 100% clean file required (no malpractice, background, or license issues)
- Must be board certified or board eligible
- Maintain proficiency in fetal heart monitoring; NCC certification preferred
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
