OB/GYN Hospitalist opening in Fresno, CA Why This Role: California is seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to join a dynamic team as an Obstetrics Hospitalist. This direct-hire opportunity offers the ability to provide comprehensive obstetrical care in a supportive hospital environment with a Level II NICU, strong multidisciplinary collaboration, and Epic EMR. Position Details: * Direct-hire OB Hospitalist role in a busy hospital with a Level II NICU * Provide expert inpatient obstetrical care with limited outpatient/rounding responsibilities * Average census: 13–14 patients daily across inpatient, outpatient, rounds, and clinic settings * Average 4–5 deliveries per 24-hour shift * Majority vaginal deliveries * Approximately 25% C-sections * Delivery experience required * Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care management * Join a collaborative, team-oriented hospital environment focused on quality outcomes Schedule: * 5–6 shifts per month * 24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM * Weekends required and follow the same 24-hour schedule * No on-call responsibilities * Holiday coverage includes holiday pay premium Requirements: * Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (required) * BLS, ACLS, and DEA (must be obtained prior to start) * Active California medical license or application in progress * COVID-19 vaccination required * MUST have delivery experience * Fellowship not required * Preferred: 1–5 years of relevant practice experience * Not eligible: new graduates, truly board eligible but not certified, or candidates with lapsed board certification * Malpractice or license history may be considered on a case-by-case basis with limitations * Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the facility * Not open to candidates commuting long distances or combining this role with another job Work Eligibility: * Visa sponsorship available (H1B and J1 accepted) * 1099 independent contractor candidates accepted Compensation and Benefits: * Highly competitive salary (discussed during interview; based on experience and training) * Health insurance with prescription drug coverage * Dental and vision insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts (health and dependent care) * Life insurance and retirement programs * Paid time off including vacation, sick days, and paid holidays * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Interview Process: * Initial and secondary interviews conducted virtually (Teams or Zoom) Additional Submission Details (Required): * Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology * Average number of deliveries per year (note in “Additional Submission Details”) * BLS, ACLS, DEA status (note in “Additional Submission Details”) * Active CA license or application in progress (note in “Additional Submission Details”) * COVID-19 vaccination status * Most recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days; required at presentation) * Full malpractice and license history disclosure * Visa support required (J1 or H1B) Clinical Details: * On-call: None * Weekend coverage: Included; same 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM 24-hour schedule Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Board Certified, DEA State Licenses: California
