Position Overview

Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN for a permanent, hospital-employed role in a community hospital setting. The position includes a mix of outpatient clinic, labor and delivery coverage, gynecologic surgery, and inpatient care.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care

  • Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum patients

  • Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries

  • Conduct routine and operative gynecologic procedures

  • Participate in inpatient rounding and call coverage

  • Collaborate with APPs, midwives, and hospital staff

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Schedule & Call (Community Hospital Average)

  • Combination of clinic days and OB coverage

  • Labor & Delivery call: 1:4 to 1:5 rotation

  • Weekend call included in rotation

  • Average clinic volume: 20–25 patients per day

  • Annual delivery volume aligned with community hospital norms

Compensation & Benefits (Market-Based – CT Community Hospital)

  • Base salary typically $325,000–$425,000, dependent on experience

  • Productivity or RVU-based incentive structure

  • Hospital-employed compensation model

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology

    • Board certification required within 5 years if BE

  • Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain

  • Comfortable with full-scope OB and GYN practice

  • Strong surgical and clinical documentation skills
