Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN for a permanent, hospital-employed role in a community hospital setting. The position includes a mix of outpatient clinic, labor and delivery coverage, gynecologic surgery, and inpatient care.
Clinical Responsibilities

Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care

Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum patients

Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries

Conduct routine and operative gynecologic procedures

Participate in inpatient rounding and call coverage

Collaborate with APPs, midwives, and hospital staff

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Schedule & Call (Community Hospital Average)

Combination of clinic days and OB coverage
-
Labor & Delivery call: 1:4 to 1:5 rotation

Weekend call included in rotation

Average clinic volume: 20–25 patients per day

Annual delivery volume aligned with community hospital norms
Compensation & Benefits (Market-Based – CT Community Hospital)

Base salary typically $325,000–$425,000, dependent on experience

Productivity or RVU-based incentive structure

Candidate Requirements
-
MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology

Board certification required within 5 years if BE

Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain

Comfortable with full-scope OB and GYN practice

Strong surgical and clinical documentation skills
