Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Locum Obstetrician-Gynecologist to provide hospital-based call coverage, with a primary focus on Labor and Delivery. This role is ideal for an experienced OB/GYN comfortable managing both low- and high-risk pregnancies, as well as routine and surgical gynecology, in a busy inpatient setting.
Dates / Schedule

Dates of coverage: March 13–15, 2026

Call schedule: Two weekends per month (Friday–Sunday)

Call ratio: 1:4 (currently)

Coverage needs: Two providers, at least once per month

Practice focus: ~90% Labor & Delivery

Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30–90 days
Job Details & Responsibilities

Hospital-based OB/GYN call coverage; no clinic responsibilities noted
-
Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and triage coverage (34 beds)
-
205-bed hospital with Level II nursery
-
No additional OB/GYN coverage during locums dates
-
Support staff includes L&D nurses, midwives, and APP support (1 APP per 12-hour shift)

Onsite lab and ultrasound services available

EMR: EPIC

Patient mix:

60% low-risk OB / 40% high-risk OB

60% GYN

Average volumes:

~5 GYN surgeries per day

~4 nursery admissions per day

C-sections approximately 1 per day

Clinical Responsibilities Include:
-
Management of low- and high-risk pregnancies
-
Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
-
OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (including Level I/viability)

Routine and complicated vaginal deliveries
-
Cesarean sections, VBACs, breech and multiple births
-
Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations
-
Surgical gynecology procedures (open and laparoscopic, diagnostic to major cases)
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified OB/GYN (required)
-
Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain (required)

BLS and ACLS certification (required)

Active DEA license (required)

Demonstrated experience in obstetrics, labor & delivery, and gynecologic surgery

Clean malpractice history (emergency temps available)

NPDB Self-Query report dated within 30 days at time of presentation (required)
