A hospital-based OB/GYN practice in Ohio is seeking two Board-Certified OB/GYNs to provide weekend Labor & Delivery call coverage. This is a high-acuity L&D role with strong nursing and midwife support and full travel reimbursement.

🏥 Practice Setting

• Hospital-based call coverage

• 90% Labor & Delivery

• L&D / Postpartum / Triage: 34 beds

• Total hospital beds: 205

• EMR: EPIC

• Onsite lab & ultrasound available

🗓️ Coverage Dates

• March 13, 14, & 15, 2026 (Friday–Sunday)

• Ongoing need: Two weekends per month

• Coverage model: 2 providers per weekend

⏰ Call Structure

• Weekend call only (Friday–Sunday)

• Call ratio: 1:4

• No additional OB/GYN coverage during locums dates

• APP support: 1 APP per 12-hour shift

• Support staff includes experienced L&D nurses and midwives

👶 Obstetrics Scope

• Low-risk pregnancies: 60%

• High-risk pregnancies: 40%

• FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)

• OB ultrasound performance & interpretation (Level I / viability)

• Vaginal deliveries, operative vaginal deliveries

• C-sections (routine & complicated)

• Breech, multiple births, abruptions

• VBACs

• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

🩺 Gynecology Scope

• ~60% of practice is GYN

• Average 5 GYN surgeries/day

• Procedures include:

  • Tubal ligation

  • Lysis of adhesions

  • Chromal tubation

  • Ectopic pregnancy

  • Oophorectomy

  • Ovarian cystectomy

  • Extensive adhesiolysis

🍼 Additional Stats

• Average C-section volume: ~1/day

• Nursery admissions: ~4/day

• Nursery level: Level II

• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

✅ Requirements

• Board-Certified OB/GYN – REQUIRED

• Ohio license (or willing to obtain)

• BLS & ACLS

• Active DEA

• Clean malpractice history (emergency temp privileges available)

• NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days of presentation)

• Estimated timeframe: 30–90 days
