Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN for locum call coverage in a hospital-based setting with a strong focus on Labor & Delivery. This opportunity supports an established OB/GYN team and provides consistent weekend coverage needs.

Practice Highlights

• Hospital call coverage with 90% Labor & Delivery focus

• Coverage needed for 2 providers, at least once per month

• No additional OB/GYN coverage during locums dates

• Total beds: 34 L&D/Postpartum/Triage | 205 hospital beds

• Support from L&D nurses, midwives, and APPs

• Onsite lab and ultrasound available

• Nursery Level: Level II

• EMR: EPIC
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified OB/GYN – Required

• Active Ohio license or willingness to obtain – Required

• BLS & ACLS – Required

• Active DEA – Required

• Clean malpractice history – Required

• NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days) required at presentation

• Emergency temporary privileges may be available
  
  

Schedule & Coverage

• Dates of coverage: March 13, 14, and 15, 2026

• Call schedule: Two weekends per month (Friday–Sunday)

• Call ratio: 1:4

• APP coverage: 1 APP per 12-hour shift

• Average scheduled patients per day: Varies
  
  

Scope of Practice

Obstetrics Required Procedures:

• Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management

• FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)

• OB ultrasounds – interpretation and Level I screening

Labor & Delivery Required Procedures:

• Routine vaginal deliveries

• C-section decision-making and complicated deliveries

• VBACs, breech, multiple births, abruptions

• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology Required Procedures:

• Open and laparoscopic gynecologic procedures

• Tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation

• Ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s
  
  

Credentialing

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30–90 days
