Locums OB Hospitalist – Des Moines, Iowa (IMLC Accepted)
Availability
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts required
- Patient Contact Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Shift Limitation: Providers may not work more than two consecutive 24-hour shifts
- On Call: 24/7 in-house call
- Call rooms available
- Facility Type: Medical Center (Inpatient)
- OBED Capacity: 8-bed OB Emergency Department
- Telehealth: Not available
- Local Providers: Not accepted (must be non-local to Des Moines area)
- OBED patient coverage
- Emergent obstetric patients
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- Care for patients without a primary OB/GYN
- Support for the only maternity transport team in Iowa
- No GYN responsibilities
- APP Supervision: Not required
- Annual OBED Visits: ~1,389
- Annual Deliveries: ~463
- MFM: On call
- Residents: Present, but OB Hospitalist does not supervise
- EMR: Epic
- Medical Imaging: Available
- Lab & Pharmacy: Available
- Board Certification: OB/GYN
- Board Eligible candidates accepted if truly eligible
- Licensure:
- Active Iowa medical license strongly preferred OR
- Active IMLC (Letter of Qualification must be uploaded at name clear)
- Start Availability: Must be able to start ASAP
- Location Restriction: Provider must not be local to Des Moines area
- 24-hour shift tolerance is essential
- Must meet all licensing and non-local requirements to proceed
