Job description
We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens assignment providing 24-hour in-house hospital coverage. This role focuses on inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including labor and delivery, emergency gynecologic cases, and inpatient consultations. The position requires physicians who are comfortable with continuous onsite coverage and managing a busy L&D service.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage obstetric patients including routine and high-risk cases
• Perform vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
• Handle emergency gynecologic cases and inpatient consultations
• Evaluate and manage all OB triage patients during call shifts
• Perform procedures as needed, including circumcisions
• Collaborate with nursing staff and hospital teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Qualifications
• Active Illinois medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
• Demonstrated experience in full-scope OB/GYN practice
• Clean malpractice history and background
• Ability to provide continuous in-house coverage
• NPDB Self-Query (pulled within the last month) required at time of submission
Working Hours
• Shifts per Month: Approximately 6–8 shifts
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• On-Call: Required (in-house)
• Procedure/OR Days: As needed

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• EMR documentation (Cerner experience preferred)
