Join Our Team as a Locum OB/GYN Physician in Santa Cruz, CA
Are you an experienced OB/GYN provider seeking an immediate opportunity to make a difference? We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician to cover outpatient OB/GYN services in Santa Cruz, CA, for an initial three-month period. This position offers a flexible schedule in a supportive clinical environment, perfect for clinicians eager to contribute to underserved populations while enjoying competitive compensation and comprehensive support.
In this role, you will provide outpatient OB/GYN care, managing approximately 15-20 patients daily in a modern clinic setting. You will work with an experienced support team, including a full-time ultrasonographer and RN specializing in diabetic and NST management. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing for a predictable schedule designed to suit your professional needs.

Required Skills
- Valid current medical license with current foundation privileges
- Recent laborist experience preferred, including hands-on labor and delivery training
- Outpatient OB/GYN experience within the last 1-2 years
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient obstetrics/gynecology
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working with Cerner EMR system
- Knowledge of working within diverse and underserved populations
- Previous experience collaborating with hospital and community specialists
Preferred Education and Experience
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent OB/GYN outpatient and laborist experience
- Credentialing with DHMF completed within 90 days
Other Requirements
- Availability to start as soon as credentialed, with possible start date around January 28, 2026
- Must be local or near the Greater Bay Area; travel preferences include preferred lodging and potential for local travel
- No other specific travel or licensing restrictions necessary
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: Competitive, aligned with experience, to be discussed
- Paid Orientation: $155-170 (half of hourly/callback rate after 8 hours)
- Hourly Pay for Service: $310-$340
- Holiday Rate: $465-$510 per hour (1.5x the hourly rate)
