Locum OB/GYN Physician Opportunities in California!

This position is for a Locum OB/GYN providing outpatient clinic coverage only for an initial 3-month assignment, with the opportunity to start as soon as credentialing is complete. The provider will manage a steady outpatient caseload in a well-supported clinic setting serving largely low-risk, underserved populations. Bilingual OB/GYNs with recent laborist experience are strongly preferred.

Dates / Schedule

• Assignment Length: 3 months to start

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed (Foundation privileges only; ~60 days)

• Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Lunch Break: 1 hour

• Shifts Per Month: Full time, 5 days per week

• Setting: Outpatient clinic only
  

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient OB/GYN care only (no inpatient or procedures required)

• See approximately 15–20 patients per day

• Utilize Cerner EMR

• Work alongside experienced support staff including:

  • Full-time ultrasonographer (30+ years of experience)

  • Two RNs managing diabetic patients and NSTs

• Collaborate within a system that partners with:

  • Stanford specialists and community perinatologists/neonatologists

  • NICU Level III (Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford)

• Coverage needed due to immediate staffing need to maintain patient access and continuity of care

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified OB/GYN

• Active California medical license

• ACGME-accredited residency

• DEA, BLS, ACLS

• Clean malpractice history

• Recent/current laborist experience required (clinic experience preferred)

• Bilingual providers strongly preferred

• Availability confirmed at time of name clear

• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)

• Local candidates preferred (Greater Bay Area)

• Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days (DHMF only)
