Locum OB/GYN needed in Santa Cruz, California!

An OB/GYN physician is needed for outpatient clinic for an initial 3-month assignment, with the possibility to start as soon as credentialed.

Practice Setting & Schedule

• Outpatient clinic only (no deliveries or procedures required)

• Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch

• Average patient volume: 15–20 patients per day

• Three clinic suites with two exam rooms each

• Santa Cruz, CA

Duties & Scope

• Routine outpatient OB/GYN care

• No procedures required

• Providers with recent laborist experience strongly preferred (clinic experience also preferred)

Patient Population

• Primarily low-risk, underserved patients

• Adult OB/GYN population

• Bilingual providers strongly preferred

Technology

• EMR: Cerner

Support Staff

• Full-time ultra sonographer with extensive experience

• Two RNs supporting diabetic patients and non-stress tests (NSTs)

Reason for Coverage

• Immediate need to maintain continuity of patient care

Credentialing & Timeline

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days

• Credentialing limited to DHMF only

Facility & Clinical Resources

• NICU Level III through partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (Stanford)

• Strong collaboration with Stanford and community perinatologists and neonatologists

Travel & Candidate Preferences

• Local candidates preferred (Greater Bay Area)

• Lodging at preferred hotels if needed

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified

• Active California medical license

• ACGME-accredited residency completion

• Active DEA, BLS, and ACLS

• Clean malpractice history

• Availability confirmed at time of name clear

• NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of submission
