Locums Opportunity – OB Hospitalist
Location: Clinton, North Carolina
Facility: Level I Nursery
Availability & Coverage
- Coverage Type: 24-hour call only
- Shifts Needed:
- Monday, March 2nd 8A - Friday, March 6th 8A
- Tuesday, March 31st 8A - Friday, April 3rd 8A
- Tuesday, April 7th 5:30A - Monday, April 13th 8A
- Friday, April 24th 8A - Monday, April 27th 8A
- Call Type: Beeper
- Response Time: Must be within 20 minutes (hospital bylaws)
- Housing: Hospital apartments adjacent to facility provided
- Hospital Contact: Calls placed to provider’s cell phone
- Active North Carolina Medical License – Required
- NC DEA (with NC address) – Required
- NC Medicaid Credentialing – Required
- Board Certified (OB/GYN) – Required
- Patient rounding (assigned and unassigned)
- On-call coverage for:
- Emergent C-sections
- Vaginal deliveries
- Emergent GYN procedures
- High-Risk Deliveries: Emergent only
- No NICU onsite
- Transfers to New Hanover Regional or Cape Fear Valley (30–45 minutes)
- Nursery Level: Level I
- Average Monthly Deliveries: 27
- Average 11 C-sections
- Labor Rooms: 3
- Postpartum Beds: 14
- Daily Census: Typically 1–3 deliveries per 24-hour period
- Support Services:
- Hospitalist support staff
- 24/7 on-call Anesthesiology
- 24/7 on-call Radiology
- Admissions Required
- Patients per Shift: Varies
- EMR: Meditech 6.1
