Schedule:
- Patient Contact Hours: 24 hour in-house hospital coverage (The locum is required to be onsite for 24-hour stretches)
- Shifts per month: 6-8 shifts per month
- Shift length: 24 hours (in-house)
- Procedure/OR days: As Needed
- License: An active Illinois state license or IMLC membership is required
- Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
- EMR: Cerner
- Other Details: This opportunity involves providing 24-hour in-house call coverage on the labor and delivery floor, with responsibilities including management of obstetric patients, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, circumcisions, emergency gynecologic cases, inpatient consultations, and evaluation of all OB triages, which are seen by the physician on call. The role is hospital-based with no telehealth component and serves primarily obstetric and gynecologic patients, with an average volume of 10–15 triages per day in addition to deliveries. Lab and pharmacy services are available, and documentation is completed using the Cerner EMR. Candidates must be board certified in OB/GYN, hold an active Illinois license or active IMLC LOQ, and have relevant experience. A clean malpractice history and no background issues are preferred and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Job Responsibilities
* Manage obstetric patients, including labor management and deliveries
* Perform vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and circumcisions
* Handle emergency gynecologic cases and inpatient consultations
* Evaluate and manage all OB triage patients seen by the physician on call
* Document patient care using the Cerner EMR system
Qualifications
* Active Illinois license or active IMLC LOQ (LOQ required at time of name clear)
* Proven experience in obstetric and gynecologic care
* Clean malpractice history and no background issues preferred (case-by-case review)
