OB/GYN opening – Brattleboro, VT -Springfield, MA 50m; Burlington, VT 150m Position Details
- Full-time, hospital-employed Staff MD/DO OB/GYN
- Hospital-owned OB/GYN practice offering full-spectrum women’s health care
- Collaborative, physician-respected, community-based environment
- Flexible scheduling with strong quality-of-life focus
- Work 3–4 clinic days per week
- Clinic volume of approximately 12–14 patients per day
- Average of 3 dedicated OR days per month
- Steady surgical volume with access to 3 new operating rooms
- Perform office-based gynecologic procedures
- Participate in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgeries
- Manage gynecologic consults from community primary care providers and in-house midwives
- Provide physician backup for midwife-led obstetric care, including uncomplicated deliveries
- Support a birth center offering: - VBACs - Water birth - Nitrous oxide - 24-hour epidural services
- Home call shared among physicians on a 1-in-4 rotation
- Shared weekend home call as part of the 1-in-4 rotation
- Multidisciplinary team including physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants
- Long-standing, stable practice with very low staff and physician turnover
- Practice autonomy with collaborative hospital administration
- Evidence-based OB/GYN practice in a state with constitutional protection of reproductive rights Compensation
- Salary range: $280,000 – $360,000 annually, based on experience and internal equity

- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- If Board Eligible, graduation date required
- Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency (U.S. or Canada)
- Active Vermont medical license (must be obtained prior to start)
- Clean malpractice history
- Most recent NPDB report (within 30–60 days)
