Obstetrics & Gynecology Opportunity in the Mississippi Delta

Step into a leadership-focused role at the center of a region-wide maternal care initiative. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of women's health in a medically underserved area, while enjoying strong support, administrative balance, and exceptional compensation. You'll practice full-scope Obstetrics & Gynecology within a mission-aligned team aiming to redefine rural maternal care in the Mississippi Delta.

Practice Overview

  • You'll join a collaborative group including 2 family medicine OBs, 1 CNM
  • Clinical scope includes full-spectrum OB/GYN care; strong emphasis on surgical OB and traditional GYN procedures
  • Surgical backup includes 24/7 in-house anesthesia and OR support with a 30-minute C-section response time
  • Serve as Clinical Lead for a formal midwifery training program modeled after Frontier Nursing University and Baptist TN

Schedule

  • 50% clinical / 50% administrative and teaching during initial ramp-up period
  • One newly renovated OB-dedicated OR suite; no robotics, but strong GYN surgical infrastructure
  • High-risk population with 200 annual deliveries and goals to expand to 500
  • On-site emergencies covered by the on-call OB physician; CNMs manage routine labor progression

Compensation & Benefits

  • Guaranteed base salary of $450,000
  • Flexible incentives for sign-on, relocation, or student loans
  • $75,000 targeted sign-on bonus; relocation allowance of $10,000
  • 40 days (320 hours) of paid time off and full tail malpractice coverage provided

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Minimum 3-10 years' experience preferred; ideal for a mature clinician drawn to mentorship and rural care
  • Comfort managing high-risk pregnancies; strong traditional surgical skills

Community & Location Highlights

  • Located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, with a low cost of living and tight-knit community feel
  • Local airport access, with Jackson and Memphis both within driving distance
  • Area rich in Southern culture, blues music, and Delta cuisine, ideal for those seeking a slower pace of life
  • Be part of a transformative care model addressing a regional maternal health crisis head-on
