Job description LOCUM OB HOSPITALIST – DOVER / MILFORD, DELAWARE IMLC Accepted | Ongoing Need Through Dec 2026 AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULING
  • Shifts Needed: 7 shifts per month
  • Shift Type: 24-hour shifts (7a–7a)
  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed
  • Length of Assignment: Through December 2026 (ongoing, potential extension)
  • Minimum Commitment: 6 months
Scheduling Notes:
  • Location One: No back-to-back 24-hour shifts
  • Location Two: Back-to-back 24-hour shifts allowed
  • Majority of coverage needed at Location One
  • Providers must be willing to work both locations
PRACTICE SETTING
  • Specialty: OB/GYN – Hospitalist / Laborist
  • Setting: Inpatient only
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Practice Model: Two OB Hospitalists on site at the same time
    • One covering L&D
    • One covering ED consults and GYN
    • Physicians back each other up
CASES & VOLUME
  • Patient Types:
    • Inpatient OB
    • ED consults
    • Emergent GYN
  • Patient Encounters:
    • Location One: 12–18 per 24-hour shift
  • Facility Stats (Location One):
    • Approximately 125 births per month
    • NICU Level II
SUPPORT STAFF
  • Midwives available approximately 70% of the time (working toward 24/7 coverage)
  • RN support available
LICENSES & CREDENTIALING
  • Delaware license options:
    • Active Delaware license
    • IMLC accepted
    • Standard licensure process accepted
CERTIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Status:
    • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Comfortable working independently
    • Experience with diverse patient populations
