Job description OB Hospitalist Physician Opening Location: Denver, Colorado (Downtown) Facility: Medical Center – Denver’s only single-site Maternal & Child Level IV Center Clinical Role Overview
  • Specialty: OB-GYN / OB Hospitalist
  • Practice Type: Hospital-employed, well-established program
  • Patient Population: High-risk obstetrics and neonates from across the region
  • Team Environment:
    • Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
    • Perinatal Nurse Practitioners
    • Experienced L&D nursing staff
  • Unit: 25-bed Labor & Delivery
Availability & Scheduling (Key Talking Points)
  • Shift Options:
    • 12-hour shifts
    • 24-hour shifts
  • Schedule Flexibility: Mix of 12s and 24s available
  • Employment Status:
    • Full-time or Part-time options
  • Position Type: Permanent position
  • Onboarding Note: Designed for long-term placement (not short-term coverage)
Licensure, Certification & Eligibility Requirements (Highlight early during candidate screening)
  • Medical Degree: MD or DO
  • Board Status: Board Eligible or Board Certified in OB-GYN (typical for role – confirm during screening)
  • State License:
    • Colorado medical license required or ability to obtain
  • Residency Requirement:
    • Must reside in the immediate local Denver area
