Join Our Team as an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician – Make a Lasting Impact on Women's Health!
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) Physician to provide exceptional care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to community health, support expectant mothers, and work alongside a talented team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OB/GYN services to a diverse patient population, primarily teenagers and adults.
- Provide prenatal care, deliveries, postpartum care, and gynecological services at a community health center.
- Support staff includes five OB providers and midwives, with access to onsite ultrasound and deliveries at a neighboring hospital.
- Participate in a 24-hour hospital call shift once every week, with the flexibility to work 2 clinic days during weekdays.
- Manage approximately 14 patients daily, with new patient visits roughly every 30 minutes.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and maintain high standards of patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Active New York medical license.
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology; Board Eligible candidates will not be considered.
- DEA certification.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks.
- Previous experience supporting deliveries and prenatal care.
- Familiarity with community health settings.
- Ability to efficiently utilize onsite ultrasound equipment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an OB/GYN fellowship or residency.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience post-residency.
- Experience working in community health centers or similar settings.
Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to work one 24-hour hospital call shift (07:00 to 07:00) per week.
- Reliable personal transportation; drive-in/mileage reimbursement available, rental car options if needed.
- Credentialing timeline approximately 60-90 days.
- No lodging provided; travel expenses minimized with local provider status.
- Participation in phone screening and onsite interviews.
