Coastal South Carolina hospital is seeking a Women’s Health OBGYN Physician to join a well-established, highly collaborative OB GYN team that is committed to providing exceptional, patient centered care across all stages of life. POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Primarily outpatient focused role with inpatient responsibilities for deliveries and gynecologic surgery
  • Standard clinic schedule (36 patient facing hours + 4 hours of admin time)
  • Shared call rotation among physicians, typically 1:7 to 1:8
  • Team Structure: 8 OBGYN physicians, 1 GYN APP, and 2 CNM
  • Dedicated nursing support
  • Cerner EMR with Dragon dictation + Ambient AI for charting

TYPICAL SERVICES & PROCEDURES:

  • Prenatal care and deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean
  • Gynecologic surgeries including hysterectomies and laparoscopic procedures
  • Office based procedures such as IUD placement and colposcopy
  • Well woman care and complex gynecologic problem visits

LABOR & DELIVERY ENVIRONMENT:

  • They manage high risk pregnancies up to 32 weeks gestation
  • Level II nursery on site
  • L&D, postpartum, nursery, and C-section operating rooms are all located on the same floor
  • L&D is located across the hall from postpartum care
  • High risk transfers requiring advanced neonatal support are transferred to a Level III NICU (1-2 hours by ground) or a Level IV NICU (45 minutes by helicopter) using established protocols
