This role involves managing low to high-risk obstetric and gynecologic cases, including deliveries, GYN surgeries, and emergency care. With a dedicated team of in-house staff and supportive colleagues, you will help ensure continuous, high-quality patient care. This position offers varied shifts with a focus on call coverage, primarily on a 24-hour schedule, providing flexibility and meaningful engagement in a meaningful rural healthcare environment.

Required Skills
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Washington State.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Proven experience managing low and high-risk obstetrics, including deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries.
- Proficiency in OB procedures such as repair of 3rd-4th degree lacerations, ectopic management, and GYN emergency interventions.
- Ability to interpret fetal heart rate patterns and conduct routine OB assessments.
- Comfortable handling emergent GYN surgeries and OB inductions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently during call periods.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system.
- Ability to work effectively in a rural hospital setting with a collaborative team.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience supervising or assisting with emergent GYN surgeries and OB procedures.
- Prior work in critical access hospitals or rural healthcare facilities.
- Experience with VBAC management.
- Bilingual abilities to enhance patient communication.
- Knowledge of local community health needs and resources.
Preferred Education and Experience
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, preferably in rural or community hospital settings.
- Credentialed or eligible for credentialing at multiple healthcare facilities.
Other Requirements
- Ability to respond promptly (~30 minutes) to calls during 24-hour shifts.
- Willingness to work approximately 7-8 call shifts per month.
- Must pass credentialing processes within three months prior to start.
- Travel and lodging arrangements to be coordinated with preferred accommodations such as hotels or Airbnb.
- Must comply with all federal, state, and local licensing, malpractice, and credentialing regulations.
- Participation in hospital’s support staff and collaborative care teams.
