Locums | Obstetrics & Gynecology | Call Only | La Porte, IN Why This Role

  • Immediate short-term call coverage with defined December dates
  • Straight inpatient call responsibility without clinic duties
  • Temp privileges available to support a timely start
Assignment Details Coverage type: Call only Practice setting: Inpatient Start date: ASAP Reason for coverage: Vacancy during long-term permanent search Admissions required: Yes Rounding: Assigned and unassigned patients Patients per shift: Approximately 10 Beds: 85 Call type: Beeper Call response time: 30 minutes Call ratio: 1:1 Call back percentage: Approximately 2% Admissions per call shift: 1–2 EMR: Cerner Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 30 days, temp privileges available Clinical Details Low-risk obstetrics Fetal heart rate interpretation including NST, CST, FSE OB ultrasounds – performance and interpretation Routine deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and C-section decision-making Complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech, and multiple births Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations Gynecologic surgery including open procedures and major operative cases such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, and cystectomy Laser procedures required Requirements Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Active Indiana medical license ACLS, BLS, and PALS required Clean malpractice and databank history required Availability for specific listed dates required Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
