Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is actively seeking a full-time, board-certified or eligible OB/GYN physician to join our esteemed Four Seasons OB/GYN practice located in Brattleboro, Vermont. Position Overview:
As a Staff OB/GYN Physician, you will provide a full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care to a diverse patient population. You will manage referrals from primary care providers and in-house midwives, performing various office-based gynecologic procedures and participating in advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries. The role includes maintaining a steady surgical volume facilitated by access to three modern operating rooms, supporting a broad range of procedures.

The role includes maintaining a steady surgical volume facilitated by access to three modern operating rooms, supporting a broad range of procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum services.
- Manage gynecologic consults from local primary care providers and midwife-led clinics.
- Perform office-based gynecologic procedures such asColposcopy, IUD placement/removals, and hysteroscopy.
- Conduct surgeries, including minimally invasive laparoscopic and vaginal procedures, utilizing three dedicated operating rooms.
- Participate in a predictable schedule of 3-4 clinic days per week, with each day seeing approximately 12-14 patients.
- Dedicate an average of three days per month to surgical cases.
- Provide backup support for midwife-led obstetric care, including uncomplicated deliveries and postpartum management.
- Share a manageable on-call rotation (1 in 4) for obstetric emergencies, supporting a birth center that offers VBACs, water births, nitrous oxide, and 24-hour epidural anesthesia.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants.
- Comply with evidence-based practices in a supportive state that guarantees reproductive rights.
- Contribute to a stable, low-turnover team committed to quality care and professional development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Vermont medical licensure or eligibility.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Not accepting visa sponsorship; candidates working multiple positions or commuting over one hour are not suitable.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $280,000 to $360,000 annually, dependent on experience and internal considerations.
