Coverage Needed
- Schedule: OB call (7:00 a.m.–7:00 a.m.) for Labor & Delivery, surgical cases, and inpatient consults
- Weekend and Call Requirements
- Specific Dates:
- 12/28, 12/29 and 1/5
- Potential for more vacation coverage
Clinical Details
- Deliveries: Average one per day; approximately 360 births/year
- Call: 1:4 (weekday and weekend), includes OB/GYN responsibilities and must report to hospital within 30 minutes when on call
- Not in-house
- EMR: Meditech Expanse for documentation and patient management
- Support Staff: APPs, nursing staff
- Bed Size: Staffed beds – 45, plus 20 room ED
- Number of Physicians in Practice: 4
- High Risk Pregnancy: Occasional high-risk delivery; typically referred to tertiary centers
- Percentage of Patients C-Section: 30%
- Average Number of Nursery Admissions Per Day: 1
- Nursery Level: I
Requirements
- TRULY Board Eligible (within 1 year of graduation) or Board Certified
- ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency
- OH license
- Clean malpractice/licensure history
- 50 deliveries in the last 12 months with at least 5 being C-sections
- Certification Requirement: BLS, ACLS
- Required Obstetrics Procedures: Low Risk Pregnancy, FHR Interpretation – NST & FSE, OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation, Level I/Screening (Viability), Level II/Targeted (Anatomic)
- Labor and Delivery Required Procedures: Routine Delivery – Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section, Complicated Delivery – C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
