Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a locum tenens OB/GYN to provide urgent December coverage for emergent gynecologic care and obstetric deliveries. This role focuses on 24-hour call coverage in an inpatient and emergency setting, supporting gaps in OB/GYN coverage. Providers must be comfortable managing OB emergencies, including C-sections, in a Level III trauma environment.
Dates / Schedule

Urgent Coverage: December 23 (7:00 a.m.) – December 25 (7:00 a.m.)

Ongoing Coverage: Additional dates to be determined as schedules are released

Shift Structure: 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a)
-
Volume: 9–10 total shifts per month across all locums

Scheduling Limits:
-
No more than 2–3 consecutive days per provider
-
Maximum of 4 consecutive days for patient safety

Job Details & Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour call coverage for OB/GYN services

Manage emergent GYN cases and OB deliveries, including C-sections
-
Work in Inpatient, Emergency Room, and Trauma Level III settings

Support family practice OB coverage (no midwives)

Average callback hours: 6.62 hours per shift

EMR: Epic

Support staff: RN

8-bed unit

~30 deliveries per month

In-house anesthesia available

Patient population: adolescent and adult

Reason for coverage: Gaps in coverage
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified OB/GYN (required)
-
Completion of an OB/GYN residency (required)
-
Active Colorado license or Active IMLC with LOQ in hand (required)

Active DEA (highly preferred; required for credentialing)

Must be willing and able to work 24-hour call shifts (required)

Experience with GYN emergencies and obstetrics, including C-sections

Epic EMR experience and willingness to complete all required EMR training prior to start

Ability to meet credentialing timelines (pre-app and full app within 72 hours)

Clean malpractice and background history
-
Availability for required December dates and ability to state number of shifts per month
