OB Hospitalist – Locums
Location: Prestonsburg, Kentucky
Setting: Hospital-based OB Hospitalist + Clinic
Coverage: Clinic, Call, and On-Call Required
Quick-Screen Requirements
Schedule: Mix of clinic, call, and on-call
NICU Level: II
Clinical Scope & Responsibilities
- Deliveries: Approx. 200 per year (unassigned + private patients)
- Coverage Model:
- 1 OB covering all unassigned patients
- Employed OBs available for backup during multiple emergencies
- Will see new and routine OB/GYN patients in an outpatient clinic setting
- L&D management
- GYN surgery
- Consults
- Unassigned patient coverage
- Internal Medicine residency program rotates through OBED/L&D
- OB will not back up midwives or FP physicians
