General Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.

Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and diagnostic procedures.

Perform surgical procedures including hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries.

Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.

Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.

Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient care.

Maintain accurate and complete medical records.

Stay current with advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.
Required Skills

Strong knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, including pregnancy and childbirth.

Technical proficiency in exams, ultrasounds, and surgical procedures.

Education and Training Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
Licensure and Certification

Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology (ABOG or AOA).

Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas.
Experience
-
At least one year of clinical or hospital-based OB/GYN experience preferred.
