Position Details

  • Role: Physician

  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks

  • Compensation: $160–$200 per hour

Schedule and Coverage

  • Shift Coverage: Scheduled shifts plus on-call responsibilities

  • Shift Schedule: Standard 5 shifts per week, 8-hour coverage from 19:00–07:00

General Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.

  • Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and diagnostic procedures.

  • Perform surgical procedures including hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries.

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.

  • Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.

  • Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records.

  • Stay current with advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, including pregnancy and childbirth.

  • Clinical judgment and decision-making in fast-paced environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Technical proficiency in exams, ultrasounds, and surgical procedures.

  • Manual dexterity and precision for surgical work.

  • Attention to detail and adaptability in high-stress situations.

Education and Training Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

  • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology.

Licensure and Certification

  • Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology (ABOG or AOA).

  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas.

Experience

  • At least one year of clinical or hospital-based OB/GYN experience preferred.
